Custom Clipart F.A.Q.

Custom Clipart will work as the escrow account, holding payment for Artist until the Employer approves artwork.

Here's How It Works...
  • Step 1: An Employer will post a job and artist will bid how much they will charge for the job.
  • Step 2: The Employer will deposit the bid ammount into the Custom Clipart escrow account before artist begins work.
  • Step 3: The Employer and Artist work together using the Custom Clipart drawing board while artist completes the artwork.
  • Step 4: The Employer approves the artwork once they're satisfied, usually within 3 drafts from the artist.
  • Step 5: Custom Clipart will release the funds to the artist once the artist uploads the final artwork for the Employer.

P.S. Your finished custom clip art includes the high resolution vector .EPS file for printing as well as any other file type you ask from the artist.

If you are not completely satisfied and your artwork and your artist cannot find a way to meet your expectations, your first step is to ask the artist to end the project in their Custom Clipart account. If the Freelancer does not agree to end the project, our dispute resolution team will assist you with Mediation and Arbitration services.

Please keep in mind that Custom Clipart and our dispute resolution services are intended to provide protection for both parties. The services protect Employers by providing an alternative to up-front payments and it protects artists from Employers that do not intend to pay for artwork completed. While the burden of proof is on the artist, if the artist can prove that they completed a portion of the artwork to your satisfaction, some of the funds may be released to the artist during Arbitration.

If you have already paid your artist using another payment service and are unhappy with the artwork, we can not help refund that money. You are welcome to leave honest feedback for the artist. Frequent negative feedback will affect a artist's ability to gain new business on Custom Clipart.com.

How long does it take to complete my project?

Usually within 4-5 days after you select an artist to start your project.

What file format will my final image be in?

Normally in .EPS, and .JPG formats, but you can request any format you need from the Artist. You should specify what format you need before your Artist begins working on your project.

Do I own the image once the Artist is done creating it?

Yes, if you select exclusive rights when you post your job you will own all rights. If you select non-exclusive rights then you will have rights to use the image, but the Artist and Custom Clipart will have rights to use the image too.

Does it cost anything to use Custom Clipart?

Employer's post jobs for free and artist can bid for free, but Custom Clipart will deduct 10% from the artist's winning bid. For example if an artist bids $100.00 and wins the job. Employer will pay $100.00 and once the jobs is completed the Artist will receive $90.00 and Custom Clipart will receive $10.00.
